Grant trained professionally from a very young age at The Royal Ballet School, White Lodge in London, before continuing his studies at The Australian Ballet School, where he was awarded Honours for his Diploma in Dance. Following his graduation, Grant joined The Australian Ballet in 1995, performing under the artistic leadership of Maina Gielgud and later Ross Stretton, gaining invaluable experience within one of Australia’s premier ballet companies. He was fortunate to dance many soloists roles in multiple productions, and created the role of “The diver”, in Meryl Tankards, “In the deep end”. 

Driven by deep curiosity for artistic creation and development, Grant relocated to Europe in 1998, joining Le Ballet du Grand Théâtre de Genève in Switzerland. He was a Principal Dancer with the company for 11 years, performing an extensive and diverse repertoire. From New York to Tokyo, throughout his career, Grant has performed in the most prestigious theatres in the world and has interpreted works from the greatest choreographers of the twentieth century, such as: Maurice Béjart, William Forsythe, Jean-Christophe Maillot, John Neumier, Carolyn Carlson..

In 2009, Grant accepted the position of Ballet Master and Rehearsal Director at the Le Ballet du Grand Théâtre de Genève, where he worked closely with many world-renowned choreographers, assisting in the creation and development of works for the company. Grant has since returned home to Australia, where now shares his extensive international experience, artistic insight, and passion for excellence with the next generation of dancers, inspiring and mentoring students through his teaching and coaching. Grant has also been invited as a Guest Teacher for many international ballet companies and an Adjudicator for several distinguished dance competitions and continues to choreograph for Junior Companies  in Europe

Amelia Waller received her early training at the Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School in Melbourne before continuing her studies at the Academy Of Queensland Ballet. She went on to join the Queensland Ballet Company, where she was later promoted to Soloist. Over the course of 8½ years, Amelia performed an extensive repertoire of both classical and contemporary works, establishing herself as a versatile and expressive artist. 

Driven by a passion for artistic exploration, Amelia moved to Europe to expand her experience and repertoire. She joined The Leipziger Ballett in Germany as a Soloist, where she spent several years performing leading roles and collaborating with acclaimed choreographers. Throughout her distinguished career, Amelia has worked with numerous international and Australian choreographers, performing works by William Forsythe, Ohad Naharin, Meryl Tankard, Mario Schröder, Nils Christie, Stephan Thoss, François Klaus, Uwe Scholz, Young Soon Hue Simon, Kim McCarthy, and Natalie Weir, among others. Her career has taken her across the globe, performing in Germany, Switzerland, Denmark, Spain, Taiwan, Colombia, Singapore, Japan, and Brazil. 

Now based in Brisbane, Amelia is dedicated to nurturing and inspiring the next generation of dancers where she continues to share her artistry, experience, and passion for dance through teaching, mentoring, and choreographic workshops both at the Academy of Queensland Ballet and within the broader community. Most recently she had the great honour of coaching at the Prix de Lausanne 2026, sharing her knowledge and further developing her skills amongst the international dance community. Amelia has been involved in the BICDprix since its inception in 2018 and assisted Founder Louise Deleur in shaping the event into what it is today. She is proud to be continuing Louise’s legacy into the future and helping the next generation.
